Animation professionals engaged in education and production from Asia-Pacific nations (China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand) participated to exchange opinions and information about current and future issues of animation culture and the industry. The participants were also to establish cooperative relationship and seek for working together to explore measures to create a better animation environment.

As a follow-up, ACCU together with AJA organised “Asia/Pacific Regional Seminar on Animation Culture and Industry for Promotion of Cultural Diversity” from 16 to 18 July 2008 in Tokyo, Japan.
