An Education Experience and Literacy Survey was also conducted in the Solomon Islands from November 2006 to February 2007. The survey was undertaken by Coalition for Solomon Islands (COESI) and covered the provinces of Honiara and Malaita.
In October 2006, a training workshop was conducted in Honiara for 30 surveyors and survey team leaders followed by the suveying of the two provinces. A total of 2,301 interviews were conducted between November 2006 and February 2007. A follow up training workshop for 10 data analysts was conducted in Honiara in early April 2007.
