Mr. Santisouk Phongsavan, ASPBAE Program Officer, represented ASPBAE at a workshop conducted by the Centre for Environment Concerns, Philippines (CEC), a member organization of ASPBAE. The workshop entitled ‘Training of Asian Grassroots Trainers on Climate Change’ was held in Bangkok, from 30 September to 1 October, to coincide with the UN climate change talks leading to the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. The workshop brought together 18 grassroots organizations implementing local and national climate change projects. Mr. Phongsavan introduced the frameworks of ESD and EFA to the participants, thus broadening their understanding of adult education and ways of linking their grassroots advaicay work to the broader regional advocacy efforts.
