3. Capacity building of stakeholders on ESD

Learning Materials on ESD Issue

Teaching learning materials development was one of the most important activities to promote ESD issues at different levels. Considering this need DAM developed and published several teaching learning materials. The issues of the materials were selected through participatory communications with the community people and stakeholders. The Material Developers of DAM visited the project sites, discussed with community people, identified and prioritized the problems and identified possible solutions before designing teaching learning materials. The materials illustrated according to the situation of the project sites & field tested for comments of the users. Four teaching learning materials (2 posters, 1 leaflet and 1 chart) were developed & printed to use to promote ESD at different levels.

The main themes of the materials are: poster -1 is “Save Our Environment & Ourselves, Cultivate Saline Talarent Crops” poster-2 is "Destroy Soil, Water & Grass by Salinity", Leaflet-"Combat Destroy of Environment at the Coastal Region" and the Chart is- "We will Save Our Coastal Environment".
