A half-day workshop was conducted for potential ESD stakeholder groups including local communities and NGOs on 19 January 2007 (as a concurrent session at the second community-based forest conservation and biodiversity management seminar organized by TEI and supported by UNDP/EU Small Grants Programme) to introduce and promote the ESD concept at the grassroots level, as well as to mobilize ideas and resources to support innovative research and development activities on ESD in schools and communities.
