Project 1: Resource Material Development
One of the major handicaps in promoting ESD in the Pacific is the general lack of resource materials both for formal and non-formal training. Through this proposal, we hope to make a difference to this situation by preparing a series of resource materials, which could be used widely in the region. These materials will be prepared in such a way that they will be suitable for a wide cross section of people. Where such materials are available through other organizations or agencies, efforts will be made to re-print them for local use.
Main Activities:
The following resource materials development for use in the PG courses described above and for a variety of non-formal and informal training planned under this full proposal:
•Climate Change Information Kit
•Integrated Waste Management dossier
•EIA/SEA/Ecological Foot printing information sheets
•ESD booklet for Teacher Training
•IKS book
•MEA Road map (reprinting)
•Sustainable Development and the Pacific Island Countries(reprinting)
•Action Research Handbook for ESD
•Environmental Law hand book for the pacific
