3.6 Project 6: Media Training

USP Component 3 -Project 6: Introduction-Media Training

The media has an important role to play in shaping public opinion on sustainable development practices, environmental degradation, effect of poverty on the environment and economy, highlighting community level partition in decision making, and reaching out to the region through local and regional media networks. A variety of media such as Newsletters, e-distribution networks, print, television, radio and internet could be used to support awareness building and outreach. However, there is also an urgent need to train the media people on environment and sustainable development issues to become responsible reporters.
