
A session by an Environment Expert during facilitators training
Before orienting the facilitators on teaching ESD contents, the existing teaching learning materials were analyzed and ESD contents were identified. The contents not covered by the text books were also identified and supplementary materials for those needful contents were selected and recommended to use in the literacy classes.
The facilitators of different literacy programs were oriented on teaching ESD contents utilizing different supplementary and complementary materials based on needs and problems of learners along with the teaching and learning techniques during respective facilitators training programs.Expertises from different organizations were mobilized to orient the facilitators about the environment and ESD contents.
Apart from this, the social mobilizers were trained to conduct the classes using the ESD
book and its guidebook. They are the key persons who lead other facilitators to operate
the classes. They guide the facilitators in the community who are conducting literacy
classes with the support of government and other organizations.
