A group of eleven international/Japanese students of the Tokyo Institute of Technology visited a UNESCO project site in Mongolia for a couple of weeks in March 2007 with an aim to analyze factors that could influence sustainability of the international development/educational project.

At a meeting held at ACCU after the field trip, students told of positive outcomes in their ability to analyaze development/educational projects using a sustainability framework developed by themselves, and expressed increased interest in Mongolian culture and local customs related to sustainable development through interpersonnel exchange.

The field trip was realized as part of the ACCU International Exchange Programme supported by the UNESCO/Japan Funds-in-Trust for the Promotion of International Cooperation and Mutual Understanding.
