Inamura no Hi- TSUNAMI RESCUE!

ACCU has published "Inamura no Hi -Tsunami Rescue" as the eighth title in the AJP (Asia-Pacific Joint Programme for Promotion of Non-Formal Education Materials) Best Practice Series. This publication was developed based on the learning materials for disaster preparedness produced by Japan's Wakayama Prefectural Board of Education. It illustrates the story of Hamaguchi Goryo who saved his village from a tsunami in the mid 19th century, and provides basic information on earthquakes/tsunamis and lessons for disaster preparedness.
