“HOPE” Evaluation Mission

ACCU completed “HOPE” Evaluation Mission on seven projects the ACCU-UNESCO Asia-Pacific Innovation Programme for ESD, 2006-2008.

The ESD “HOPE” Evaluation Approach is designed on the basis of “HOlistic” values, emphasizing a “Participatory” approach, and which aims to “Empower” people. To assess the approach, evaluations missions were conducted by four international teams consisting of an educational expert, COE representative and ACCU. The teams visited Innovation Programme in seven countries in Asia-Pacific region. A questionnaire-based survey was also conducted over ten countries in the region to clarify results and challenges concerning the ACCU-UNESCO Asia-Pacific Innovation Programme for ESD. The extensive data has been complied in the final report entitled “Empowering People through Evaluation for Sustainable Future”, launched in 2009.
