The UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development - Moving tinto the Second Hald of the UN Decade 2009

ACCU took part in the UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development – Moving into the Second Half of the UN Decade 2009 was held in Bonn, Germany, from 31 March to 2 April 2009. The conference was organised by UNESCO and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, in cooperation with the German Commission for UNESCO. About 900 participants – including 48 ministers or deputy ministers – as well as 250 visitors from across the world discussed several focal questions around ESD. Outcomes of the discussion were highlighted in the Bonn Declaration which is a cornerstone to propel ESD into the second half of the decade.
ACCU representatives attended the conference and made a presentation on the HOPE Evaluation at the special event by UN Inter-Agency committee.
