Asia-Pacific Forum for ESD Educators and Facilitators
(Tokyo, Japan, 22-24 August 2009) produced fruitful outcomes.
Around 170 ESD educators, facilitators, policy makers and researchers from 16 countries across Asia-Pacific gathered at the forum. After global ESD agendas were actively discussed during the Bonn conference, this forum spotlighted ESD within the vibrant Asia-Pacific context. Several lessons learnt, successful stories and brilliant ideas were shared by the participants from different backgrounds and cultures. The fruitful forum yielded the Tokyo Declaration underlining the main 3 challenges of ESD in the region--Evaluation and Methodologies of ESD and EFA-ESD synergy.
