PLANET Workshop - Orientation
The workshop orientation was presented by ACCU. It was stressed in the review of the background that this is the very first workshop to share experiences from community and national levels of the PLANET Programme. She reviewed the objectives: to share experiences, to improve the programme, and to obtain new ideas, in order that the PLANET Programme promotes learners to learn more about our environment and think about our future together.
ACCU then invited participants for self-introduction in the order of the stage of involvement with the PLANET Production and Utilisation Scheme. Firstly the participants from four countries of the 1st cycle of the Scheme: Bangladesh; India; Nepal and Philippines, self-introduced and then the participants from another four countries involved in the 2nd cycle: Cambodia; Uzbekistan: Mongolia and Thailand, introduced themselves. Also a participant from Fiji, resource persons, Japanese experts and IT experts who are developing the new ACCU ESD website gave a self-introduction.
