2) Brief Background -The Contexts of Implementation of PLANET 3-
Cambodia is a county, which so far has carried out the dissemination of PLANET 1(Water) and 2 (Forest) through the support both financial and technical from ACCU and Government. Waste management is a major concern that the Ministry of Environment (MoE) pays a lot of attention. However, the dissemination of MoE's information and implementation have not yet made across and wide spread to all grassroots people. From the experiences of dissemination of PLANET 1 and 2, we found out that the efficient tools are education for the community in the spirit of preserving and love nature around us. Already, non-formal education has actively functioned and involved in providing environment education through its programmes. As the targets are important and not easy to get on well with, formal or non-formal education alone cannot achieve this successfully. Partners are the most helpful to involve the waste management education to grassroots level.
