The data included herein are collected by the Asia/Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO (ACCU) through data forms filled out by experts in the Asia-Pacific region (data providers) with the coordination of the National Commissions for UNESCO in each participating country based on the guidelines set by ACCU, and collected during the period of October 1998 - March 2000.

The original data collected in the above-mentioned period was updated in July 2004 along with additional entries to Policies Actions section of the following countries:

Australia, Cambodia, Fiji, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Tonga, and Vanuatu.
