Detailed explanation

Paisaru is a typical festival song of western Nepal. In some places it is sung by male and female in duet style while in other it is sung by males only, also in duet style. This song is accompanied by dances and is performed on festivals of winter starting from Maghe Sankrati which falls around January 15th. It is also performed in other festivals. Paisaru is performed only by male in Dang District, while male-female version is performed further west in Doti and Darchula.
