Objectives

Related to intangible cultural heritage:

• Preparation of the legal normative instruments for safeguarding intangible cultural heritage in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Information of the KR and Institute of History and Cultural Heritage of the National Academy of Sciences of the KR;
• Promotion and development of the intangible heritage in the country;
• To provide international cooperation in cultural heritage area.

Major Programmes on ICH

• The National Commission, in cooperation with other concerned state parties, organises workshops, conferences and other activities with a view to effective by safeguarding intangible cultural heritage.
• The National Commission is actively involved in preparation of an Inventory of the intangible cultural heritage of the KR, and the data base is being updated.
