Twenty-five Japanese teachers and administrators visiting Beijing and Lanzhou, Gansu from 23 June with the invitation of the Ministry of Education of China, returned to Japan on 29 June, after completing their 7-day fruitful programme.
In China, they visited Ministry of Education, Gansu Provincial Education Department, 6 schools including special needs education school, elementary and secondary schools, and cultural institutions. At every place they visited, they not only were able to receive answers to the questions sent to China beforehand, they had chances to actively discuss with teachers in China.
At Gansusheng Lanzhou Experimental Elementary School and Second Junior High School Attached to Northwest Normal University teachers had chances to talk and play with students either individually, or in groups without the help of interpreters. Exchanges through calligraphy also took place.
