Under the framework of 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 International Educational Exchange Programme:Invitation Programme for Teachers from the People’s Republic of China, 3 delegations, each consisting of 29, 34 and 63 members, visited Japan in 21-29 September, 19-27 October and 16-24 November respectively.

During their stay they had lectures of Japanese primary and secondary school education, visited 4 to 5 schools and Japanese homes, and engaged in Japanese cultural experiences.

After the Tokyo programme, the October delegation visited Tama City and the November delegation which was composed of 2 groups, visited Arao City, Kumamoto Prefecture, and Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture respectively. At some schools, Chinese teachers gave short lessons and introduced Chinese culture to Japanese students. Such direct interactions and Q and A sessions were great opportunity for teachers in both countries and Japanese students to understand different cultures and values.
ACCU wish to thank all the schools and families that hosted the visit, and the boards of education of Tama City, Arao City and Nagasaki City for their generous hospitality.
