25 Japanese teachers and officials visiting China from 24 May with the invitation of Department of International Cooperation and Exchange Ministry of Education, returned to Japan on 31 May, after completing their 8-day fruitful programme.
Participants gathered in Tokyo on 23 May for the pre-departure-briefing, and they left for China in the early morning on 24 May and visited Beijing, Guangxi Zhuangzu Autonomous Region and Shanghai.
They visited Department of International Cooperation and Exchange Ministry of Education, Education Department of Guangxi Zhuangzu Autonomous Region, Elementary and Secondary schools, and cultural facility in China. In each place, they learned the Chinese educational strategy and current situation. Participants are expected to make use of what they experienced in China to activities in education for international understanding (EIU) and education for sustainable development (ESD). We hope the visit will lead to mutual exchanges between schools and students in the two countries.
