The major Objectives of these CLCs in Nepal are to:

Conduct various educational programmes such as
out-of-school youth programmes, literacy, post-literacy and continuing
education; |

Build and strengthen the capacity of programme
organizers, resource persons, trainers and volunteers, etc. ; |

Develop training and learning materials; |
 |
Provide ownership of decision-making to communities;
and |
 |
Conduct a host of income generation programmes
for promoting self-employment among youths and adults. |
