The paper provides a brief update of the project and does not provide significant information on all the items. It simply shows the adjustments made in the project outlines and subsequent training strategies evolved for the implementation in Ulaanbatar, Darkhan, and Aimag marginalized youth programmes.


1 Objectives The main objectives of the project are:
To further develop national and regional capacities of Non-Formal Basic Distance Education in Mongolia; and
To provide training for out-of-school, unemployed marginalized youth and families.

Educational and Cultural Centres in AIMAGs

3 Input
Skilled editors for booklets and radio programmes.
Close cooperation with NFE trainers, Education and Cultural Centre of AIMAGs.
4 Process Upon needs-assessment, authors for booklets are selected to produce print materials and a radio team joins in the discussions of topics and preparation for radio broadcasting.
5 Output
Establishment of a radio station both in Darkhan and Erdenet.
Increase in knowledge of business skills among the marginalized youth.
6 Strengths
Good local contacts.
Skilled NFE training and methodologies.
Wide area of covering.
