- Executive Director of Dhaka Ahsania Mission: Involved in the non-formal education sector including continuing education programmes for the last 20 years both in home and abroad, especially in the Asia-Pacific Region.
- Adult Educator, Trainer and Material Developer worked for UNESCO, ACCU and UNICEF in the capacity of Consultant/Resource Person for the last 14 years and organised/conducted more than 60 international workshops, seminars, expert meetings, training programmes on non-formal education continuing education for development and EMIS in the Asia-Pacific Region.
- Literacy practitioner: Developed and implemented a series of programmes and projects at the grass roots level in the areas of non-formal education for neo-literates and non-formal vocational education and training in the counrtry.
- Education Policy Planner : Contributed towards policy formulation on EFA, both at home and abroad.

Experiences in Literacy Project:

Actively participated in the development, implementation, supervision and monitoring of numerous projects and programmes for the last 20 years in the field of non-formal education for all age groups viz., primary adolescents and adults, poverty alleviation, women empowerment, environment promotion, women and child trafficking prevention, etc.


Major Publication(s):

1. Many publications on literacy and adult education such as primers, guidebooks for teacher and supervisors.
2. Guided and supervised development of 212 NFE materials produced by Dhaka Ahsania Mission
3. Co-authored a number of publications, such as "New Guidebook for production of Literacy Materials" published by ACCU, Japan.
4. Developed 12 volumes of APPEAL Training Materials for Literacy Personnel and written many articles published in different documents, journals etc.
