- Working with an NGO named Anak Merdeka Foundation for 4 years (1982-1986) as a grassroots NGO which helps children with special needs such as slum and street children.
- Developing an out-of-school literacy program focused on children using art and fun on the assumption that these are natural parts of every child's life.
- Focusing more on adults and their learning preferences, based on a participatory approach, and appropriate to the learners' own needs,
- Developing illustrations for a number of different programs and purposes in the field of media development.
