Exhibition of Winning Works

The winning works of the Noma Concours are being exhibited in various locations, such as Tokyo and Miyazaki in Japan, and BIB in Slovakia. The Asia/ Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO (ACCU) is actively promoting the works to be seen by as many people as possible.


The exhibition "Palette of Dream Colours IV", the 16th Noma Concours for Picture Book Illustrations from Asia, Africa and Latin America,was held at the International Library of Children's Literature (ILCL) in Tokyo. The ILCL provides internationally linked library services for children's literature and related materials published in Japan and in other countries. It is the first national library of its kind in Japan. Also there are many other cultural institutions around this area.
68 winning works and 166 children's books were exhibited at the site. During 90 days of exhibition duration, over 33,000 visitors came to see the exhibition.

The exhibition “Palette of Dream Colours III”, the 15th Noma Concours for Picture Book Illustrations from Asia, Africa and Latin America, was held from 22 September 2007 through 13 January 2008 at the International Library of Children’s Literature (ILCL) in Tokyo.
About 70 winning works and 150 children’s books were exhibited at the site.

The Biennial of Illustration Bratislava (BIB) in Slovakia is an international juried exhibition of originals of illustrations made for children's and juvenile books. This year, the exhibition was held from 7th September and 26th October and some of the15th Noma winning works have been exhibited at the venue.

4th Nami Island International Children's Book Festival

Fifteen poster-sized prints of the 15th Noma Concours winning works including the Grand Prize, were displayed at the 4th Nami Island International Children's Book Festival in Nami Island, near Seoul in Republic of Korea
