A Resource Pack for Promoting Inclusive Community – Role Play and Case Studies –

As part of the UNESCO Future Co-creation Platform programme, commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) of Japan, the Asia-Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO (ACCU) has been implementing the project titlted “Promoting Inclusive Community Development” since 2022. As the final outcome of this project, we are now officially releasing “A Resource Pack for Promoting Inclusive Communities.” We have developed this pack as a tool to provide hands-on understanding of the process of inclusive community-building and to promote mutual understanding among multiple stakeholders.

Report on 2024-2025 International Exchange Programme for Primary and Secondary School Teachers

As part of the International Coordination Programme for Education in a New Age, commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) of Japan, the Asia-Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO (ACCU) has been implementing ‘International Exchange Programme
for Primary and Secondary School Teachers’. This programme has been running since 2001 in South Korea, since 2002 in China, since
2015 in Thailand, and since 2016 in India, having expanded from East Asia to Southeast and South Asia with those four partner countries. In the report, programme overview, current initiatives by participants (teachers) after the programme etc., are introduced.▼Download (English)

The Asia-Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO (ACCU) launched international educational exchange programme for teachers since 2001 to promote mutual
understanding and friendship among Asian-Pacific countries. After conducting the programme mainly online from the latter half of FY2019 to prevent the further spread of
COVID-19 while keeping promoting international exchange, in FY2023 we brought back face-to-face exchanges fully for the first time in almost four years.▼Download (English)

The Asia-Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO (ACCU) conducted ‘International Exchange Programme for Primary and Secondary School Teachers’ as part of 2022-2023 International Coordination Programme for Education in a New Age, entrusted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT).

ACCUは若者の主体的な学びを通して持続可能なコミュニティを創造する「変化の担い手」を育成することを目的に、2014年から約5年間、南・東南アジア地域を中心に「若者主体の持続可能なコミュニティ開発プロジェクト」を実施してきました。本冊子では、プロジェクトをきっかけに地域での活動を開始したパキスタンの若者の5年間の軌跡や、若者と共に取り組んでいる4か国（パキスタン、バングラデシュ、インド、フィリピン）の地域づくりの事例が記載されています。
