A facilitator analyzing the lessons where ESD contents can be integrated

In order to build the capacity of facilitators to effectively conduct literacy classes, different training programs were organized. The facilitators' training had focused on various teaching learning techniques, participatory approaches, localization of materials and use of various materials based on the learners' needs and methods of integrating ESD contents in the teaching learning process.

All the trained facilitators conducted respective literacy classes in their respective localities just after the training programs. The refresher's training provided for them were very helpful to find out solutions of the problems they had faced during class operation and they got opportunity to discuss the difficult/complicated lessons in the books.

So far, total of 21 facilitators in Lalitpur and 28 facilitators in Lumbini were trained through series of trainings.
