International Partnership Programme for Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage
Following the effectuation of the "Law on the Promotion of International Cooperation for Protection of Cultural Heritage Abroad" by the Japanese Government in June 2006, ACCU has launched the ICH Partnership Programme, with Agency for Cultural Affairs, Japan.
Under the programme, ACCU is to establish the Japanese and the international network for better implementation of the programme. The "Training Course for Safeguarding of ICH" is to be organised to provide the participants the latest information on the Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Japan's know-how for safeguarding of ICH. The contents of the lectures are to be uploaded to ACCU's Website as video and PDF files.

Community Based Project
ACCU launched the "Contest for Better Practices in Communities' ICH Revitalisation" in 2006. It has been carried out in close cooperation with UNESCO, in order to identify and document past and current practices that are successfully safeguarding or revitalising ICH, particularly by young generations' participation.
