NOCEAD VIETNAM and NOCEAD/ACCU LRC

On 10 September 1991, The National Organization for Community Education, Continuing Education and Development (NOCEAD) of Vietnam was officially established.

In cooperation with the Asia/Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO (ACCU), Japan, the National Organization for Community Education, Continuing Education and Development established the NOCEAD/ACCU Literacy Resource Centre for Girls and Women (NOCEAD/ACCU LRC) on December 25, 1994.

NOCEAD and NOCEAD/ACCU LRC are the Humanitarian, Non-profit, Non-Governmental and Voluntary Organizations working for a Humanitarian Cause:

Provide opportunities for Literacy Education, Continuing Education and Community Education for All especially Disadvantaged Population, Ethnic Minority Girls and WomenŽ©/P>

 Roles and Objectives of NOCEAD/ACCU LRC:

    1. Survey/assessment of the needs
    2. Designing and monitoring specific projects for girls and women
    3. Developing learning materials for learners, teachers, local community educators and trainers .
    4. Training of teachers, material developers, educators, educational managers, trainers and learners.
    5. Analyzing the literacy education and continuing education situation for disadvantaged population in general and particularly for girls and women living in the Highland and Midland Rural Areas with the close cooperation of Governmental Offices, NGOs, INGOs, IOs in home and abroad and people's organization alike
    6. Consulting and networking among NGOs, GOs and community leaders
