The firefly felt she was the only one who was useless. Trees had no roots and could walk and talk; they were humankind's best friends. The ants carried away tiny pieces of spilled food, leading a disciplined life. One day, there was a forest fire and everybody cooperated to put out the fire. The firefly thought of what she could do to help others. She begged the Sun for some light. When it got dark, the firefly let her light shine through the dark. Soon, the other fireflies joined her, too. Nobody was afraid of the dark anymore. The firefly was finally happy.
